Ship It Plus LLC ("Ship It Plus," "we," "us") operates the Ship It Plus store at 8102 Fry Rd STE A, Cypress, TX 77433, this website and the Ship It Plus customer portal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. It reflects the Confidentiality & Privacy terms (Section 18) of our Customer Service Agreement.
Information we collect
- Contact information: name, mailing address, email address and mobile phone number for the account holder and any additional mail recipients.
- Verification records: government-issued photo ID and proof-of-address documents required to open and maintain a mailbox.
- USPS Form 1583: the information, signatures and supporting identification required by the United States Postal Service for Commercial Mail Receiving Agency service, including business and authorized individual details.
- Mailbox activity: records of mail and packages received, images of mail exteriors, scan, shred, forwarding and pickup requests, and pickup history.
- Billing information: subscription plan, payment history and receipts. Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Notification preferences and consent: your chosen notification method (Email, SMS or Both) and records of SMS opt-in or opt-out.
How we use information
We collect contact information solely for service delivery and USPS compliance, including to:
- open, verify, operate and close your mailbox in accordance with USPS rules;
- notify you of mail and package arrivals, pickup reminders, billing reminders, account status and document-signature requests;
- process payments and provide receipts;
- respond to your support requests; and
- meet legal, regulatory and postal obligations.
Confidentiality and disclosure
Customer information is kept confidential. We disclose it only in the limited ways described below, or otherwise with your consent.
Authorized operational disclosures. We share information with contracted service providers only when necessary to provide our services — for example payment processing, website hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, shipping operations and other legitimate service functions. They receive only the information needed for that function and may not use it for their own marketing or any other purpose.
Legal disclosures. We provide information to the USPS, postal authorities, law enforcement or other governmental authorities when legally required or otherwise permitted under applicable law.
Prohibited marketing disclosures. We will not sell or share your information for marketing purposes without your express written consent, and we do not sell, rent or share customer information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data security and breach notification
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and access is limited to authorized staff. Ship It Plus LLC complies with Texas Business & Commerce Code §521. In the event of a data breach affecting your personally identifiable information, we will provide written notice within the timeframe required by Texas law.
Retention
We keep records, including USPS Form 1583 and verification documents, for as long as required by USPS regulations and applicable law, and otherwise only as long as needed to provide services.
